On November 30, 2023, my research paper entitled “Development and Validation of Oral Health-Related Quality of Life Scale for Patients Undergoing Endodontic Treatment (OHQE) for Irreversible Pulpitis” was finally published in the international academic journal Healthcare-MDPI with an impact factor of 2.8. Apart from being my research in PhD course at Shimane University, this research will be significant in my specialty field of endodontics. Especially in improving the quality of endodontic treatment in my country Indonesia. During the research and writing paper, I learned many valuable lessons for my future research career in Indonesia. For that, I would like to thank Prof. Kanno and Matsuda sensei for all the guidance given to me. I really hope to learn more from them so that I can become a successful researcher like them.

インドネシアからの大学院Fadil Abdillah Arifin先生の論文「Development and Validation of Oral Health-Related Quality of Life Scale for Patients Undergoing Endodontic Treatment (OHQE) for Irreversible Pulpitis」が国際学術雑誌Healthcareに掲載されました。本論文はう蝕によって引き起こされる歯髄炎の治療が必要な患者のQoL（生活の質）を測定する尺度（OHQE）の開発を行い、その信頼性と妥当性を検証しました。歯髄炎に対する治療では根管治療が必要ですが、従来のQoL尺度は口腔全体の健康度合いを計測するものがほとんどであり、疾患特異的な尺度がなかったことから、歯髄炎によって障害されるQoLを正確に計測することが困難でした。本尺度を使用することで歯髄炎患者のQoLがより厳密に測定でき、治療法を決定する際の根拠やアンメットメディカルニーズ（無視されてしまっている医療上の問題点）を発見するうえで役立つものと期待されます。今後もこの尺度を使用したさらなる研究を遂行し、根管治療の質の向上に貢献できればと考えます。
